Why everyone loves Freddy pants

Clothing brand Freddy's pants are being praised on social media for their ability to lift the butt and shape the legs. They are also stretchy and soft to wear!

On Instagram, the hashtag #freddypants has over 23,000 hits. Many people's favorite pant model from the Italian brand Freddy is Wr.Up, a full-length pant that is available in both jeans and leggings. What sets Freddy's pants apart from other brands is the shaping feature that lifts and shapes the butt, making it look like you've done countless squats without ever setting foot in the gym!

- The Wr. Up pants have eight patents which means no one can copy us. The pants have a silicone band at the waist that makes them sit firmly against the body and from the waist and down to under the butt is a silicone membrane that makes the butt lift up a little. The visual effect is also enhanced by the seams on the buttocks being heart-shaped," says Malin Jonsson, seller at Freddystore.

The pants are made of 22% elastane and 78% cotton, which both shapes the legs and makes the pants soft and flexible.

How do I find the right size?

- The sizes are normal, so choose the size you usually wear to get the most out of the lift. It is important not to take a size too small as the elastane will be visible and they will be a bit see-through and you will feel the pants flattening instead of lifting.

What kind of panties should I wear underneath?

- Panties that do not give any edges. In the spring, we will be introducing a pair of specially designed panties for our trousers that make no seams visible at all when you wear them.

How do I wash the pants?

- We recommend hand washing or gentle machine washing up to 30 degrees. No fabric softener and no tumble drying. It is best to hang dry them. Do not dry them in a drying cabinet because if the heat is too high, the silicone membrane will melt.

How do you think Freddy pants became so popular?

- We were right on time when we released our pants that enhance the appearance of the butt. The pants were released in 2013 in Sweden and it was at the same time that Instagram exploded.
